Welcome to the PtokaX Wiki!
This wiki is devoted to let users share information on the great hubsoft PtokaX. However, it is not limited to PtokaX, it is destined to share and discuss information on different parts of the LUA programming language, but the site is NOT intended to be a replacement for the primary LUA Board aka the PtokaX Portal, nor the secondary LUA Board or the PtokaX resources.
If you’re not familiar with wikis then in short: they are user-contributed sites: pages can be edited by (almost) anyone. As such, there is always kind of up-to-date and (hopefully) proper content. They are better than forums, since relevant pieces of information are on the same page. Do not hesitate to share your knowledge, and we all hope you can learn and teach a lot here! — bastya_elvtars

Advanced settings
Main page
Automatically start hub server...
When this box is checked, the hub will automatically start to listen when the software is loaded.
Check on startup if new...
When enabled, PtokaX connects to the website on startup to see if a new version is available.
Enable tray icon...
This setting enables a tray icon and allows PtokaX to minimize to tray.
Minimize to tray on startup
If checked, PtokaX minimizes to the tray after starting up. :!:Requires the previous checkbox to be checked.
Hub command prefixes
Enter the prefixes here with no separator. Maximum number of prefixes is 5. Prefixes are special characters prepended to a comand. E. g. !help or +kick.
Reply to hub commands as PM
When you issue a hub command PtokaX replies to them in PM instead of main, if this option is checked.
Enable Lua scripting interface
Enable this if you would like to use Lua scripts to extend the functionality of PtokaX. If you disable this, the value of the 3 other scripting settings won't matter.
Stop script when...
If a script has an error, it gets disabled only if the error prevents it from running any further. Enabling this setting will cause PtokaX to stop the script when any type of error occurs.
Popup scripts window...
If checked, script errors will cause PtokaX's Scripts manager window to pop up.
Save script errors to log
When enabled, PtokaX logs script errors into a file. It can be helpful to scripters if you have this enabled.
Filter kick messages
When checked, kick messages do not get sent to all users. This is good because you save CPU power and bandwidth, and on huge kicks you do not mangle the mainchat.
Send kick messages to Ops
When enabled, it sends the kicks messages to Operators only. :!:Requires the previous option to be enabled.
Send status messages to Ops
When enabled, certain status messages (script restart, unban etc.) get sent to operators.
Send kick messages as PMs
If checked, operators will get the status messages in PM.
Report hublist pingers...
When checked, every time a pinger connects a status report gets sent to operators.
Don't allow hublist pingers...
When enabled, hublist pingers will be prevented from checking and indexing the hub.
MyINFO processing
Minutes before new...
When your MyINFO changes, the hub will apply a delay in sending it. This setting controls the duration (in minutes). Note that if slots count/hub count changes, it will be broadcasted immediately.
Strip
These four checkboxes control what to strip out of MyINFO strings in order to save bandwitdth.
